This jewelry is made from 14k Gold filled. It is a solid envelope of gold that is affixed by heat or pressure to a metallic base such as copper. It should not be confused with gold plated jewelry as it contains 100% more gold than plating. They are therefore much more resistant, do not crumble and will not change color over time. Our gold filled jewelry is therefore water resistant.
